The Tennessee Department of Transportation is working on some much needed improvements on Interstate 26 through the Johnson City community.

Mark Nagi, A TDOT spokesman said this on Wednesday,
β€œ The clearing work they are doing is part of the ongoing resurfacing project on I-26, between the Boone’s Creek exit and the one at University Parkway. Summers-Taylor Inc. got the contract in March for the $6,961,645,55.

He went on to say, β€œThe resurfacing work is being done at night, but the clearing is done during the day…”
