Mountain City Alderman To Go Before State Board…Concerning Water Rates

The Mountain City, Tennessee Board of Mayor and Alderman are now facing a hearing before the state Water and Wastewater Financing Board. The alderman have been asked to explain why the board has not moved forward with a cost of service study for water and sewer rates. The town ws ordered to conduct the study and adjust their rates according to the results of the document. So far the town has adjusted the rates, with the exception of the rates within the city limits, but have failed to adopt a study.
