Out of State Couple Linked to Tri-Cities Fraud Investigation; Each Charged with 150 Counts of Criminal Simulation

Numerous cloned debit and credit cards lands an out of town couple behind bars.

A lengthy investigation into local ATM fraud by the Johnson City Police Department with assistance from the Kingsport Police Department and United States Secret Service brought charges to suspects Claudio Nacu, 28 of Dania, Florida and Adelina Nacu, 29 of Denver, Colorado.

The couple were found to be in possession of 150 cloned debit and credit cards. They were found at the 1800 block of West State of Franklin and arrested, each charged with 150 counts of criminal simulation.

The suspects were taken to the Washington County Detention Center where they are being held on a $100,000 bond. Arraignment is set for Monday at 1:30 P.M. in Washington County General Sessions Court.
