Police Charge Erwin Man With Vehicular Homicide

Police in Erwin have charged a man with vehicular homicide as well as other crimes after a fatal wreck earlier this year. Anthony A Overstreet was driving his vehicle on March 14 northbound on North Main Avenue at a high rate of speed when he lost control. Overstreet’s vehicle then hit a curb, went airborn, then striking a sign. Elizabeth I. Lopez, a passenger in the car died from injuries she received in the crash. Overstreet was driving the car even though his license had been revoked fur a DUI in 2013.
