Child porn trial set in SW Virginia for former Scott County teacher

Wise County will not be processing the rape charges against former Rye Cove teacher Jeremy Francis following a hearing in Circuit Court.
Francis has been convicted in Scott County, Virginia on similar charges.

A former Rye Cove High School teacher is scheduled to go on trial for child porn charges in Wise County next week. Jeremy Francis is slated to appear for a two-day trial. He has already been convicted in Sullivan County, Tennessee and Scott County, Virginia on similar charges stemming from a case that began in 2015. Francis entered an Alford plea in 2016 and received a two-year prison sentence after prosecutors said they found hundreds of inappropriate pictures of underage females on his computer.
