UPDATE: Elizabethon man charged with stabbing wife arraigned in Criminal Court

An Elizabethton man accused of stabbing his wife in the parking lot of a home improvement store was arraigned in Criminal Court.

Gregory Calderon was charged with aggravated kidnapping, aggravated assault and violation of a protective order following the incident in April at Lowe’s on Patriot Drive. He reportedly stabbed the woman in front of three children then fled the scene on foot.

Calderon was captured later that evening. He is scheduled for another court appearance on Oct. 2.
