Report: Smyth County officer helps apprehend two Crips members following chase

Two members of the nationally-known Crips gang were apprehended following a police chase that extended into Wythe and Smyth counties.

A report from the Wythe County Sheriff’s Office said Mycah Deshon Lilly, 20, and Kishane Jermal Sinclair, 22, both from North Carolina, were traveling in a stolen car and were clocked for speeding on Interstate 81. The chase ended when a Smyth County deputy spun the car out and the two were arrested following a foot chase. The two face various traffic and drug charges including grand theft auto and felony hit and run.
