Former Greene County band teacher waives hearing on statutory rape charge

A former band teacher in Greene County, Tennessee accused of having a sexual relationship with a juvenile has waived his arraignment in Sessions Court, according to court information.

The case against Brock Christopher Jones will now go before a grand jury for possible indictment. Jones was placed on leave in August then terminated from his position as a music instructor at Mosheim and McDonald Middle schools after the Greene County Sheriff’s Department charged him with one count of statutory rape.

Jones will make an appearance in Criminal Court on January 10th.
