Kingsport police report discovery of suspicious item at apartment complex

Details are scarce regarding the discovery of a suspicious item found at a Kingsport apartment complex Monday afternoon.

A report from the Kingsport Police Department said several officers including the agency’s bomb squad unit were called to Miller Village Apartments on Eastline Drive just after 2:30. Officials examined the item then deemed the area safe. The investigation is continuing.
