UPDATE: Police release name of victim found dead in Church Hill

Authorities have released the name of the woman whose body was found earlier this week in a ditch line in Hawkins County.

A report from Sheriff Ronnie Lawson said Ashley Gail Vick, 22, of Church Hill, was discovered dead just off of Tranbarger Road on Monday morning. Her cause of death is being determined by an autopsy. The agency said that broken glass and blood was found in the roadway near Vick’s body.

The identification of the victim comes a day after a person of interest in the case was arrested following a standoff in a home on Cannon Street in Kingsport. Brad Addington, 30, is now jailed in Sullivan County awaiting extradition.
