Elizabethton Joins Tennessee Main Street Program

Elizabethton is joining more than 30 other Tennessee Main Street communities from across the state in an effort to revamp its downtown with new investments and entrepreneurships. The Tennessee Main Street Program provides training, support and grant opportunities to assist in downtown revitalization efforts. Elizabethton, with a historically significant downtown district plans to improve through the program by encouraging new investments. The program requires communities to show a commitment from local government and other organizations as well as an adequate budget, historical buildings and a walkable downtown district.
