Carter County attorney disbarred by Tennessee Supreme Court

State records show a Carter County attorney has been disbarred for the second time in seven months.

A list of complaints against Gregory Scott Norris of Elizabethton was presented to the Board of Professional Responsibility of the Tennessee Supreme Court including failing to appear for hearings on numerous occasions, making incoherent arguments in court, and failing to inform clients of his suspension.

Norris was also ordered to pay $6,000 in restitution to seven former clients.
