81 Million Dollars In Grants For Tennessee School Reopening Efforts
As Tennessee’s K-12 and Higher Education Institutions poise themselves to safely reopen schools in a few weeks, Governor Bill Lee is announcing 81 million dollars in Coronavirus Relief Grants to assist schools with plans for a safe reopening. The announcement was made by the Financial Stimulus Accountability Group…a bi partisan group of Tennessee State Legislators. The first wave of grant funding includes releasing eleven million dollars for grants to local education agencies. An additional 50 million dollars is being made available to support technology grants for the reopening efforts.
