Lee County Hospital on track for July 2021 reopening

Lee County Community Hospital is back on track for reopening potentially next Summer.

The Lee County Hospital Authority and Ballad Health met in a virtual meeting on Wednesday to discuss updates on the timeline. Construction to the hospital has resumed as of August, after work was halted in late March due to effects from the COVID-19 pandemic. According to the timeline, construction is expected to be complete by April 1st of next year with anticipation of being fully operational by July 1st, 2021.

The hospital has been closed since 2013.
