Eleven Southwest Virginia Economic Development Projects To Receive Pilot Grants

Eleven economic development projects in seven southwest Virginia localities have been selected for ten a million dollar Abandoned Mine Land Pilot program administered by the Department of Mines Minerals and Energy. The projects are located in the City of Norton, Dickenson , Russell, Buchanan, Wise, and Lee Counties and are designed to boost the local economies in the coalfied region.
