Affidavit: 46 dogs found in deplorable conditions on woman’s property in Bluff City

A Bluff City woman will appear in court later this year after sheriff’s deputies found dozens of dogs confined on her property.

Court documents show Linda K. Finney, 76, is charged with 46 counts of animal cruelty following an investigation that took place last month.

An officer with the Sullivan County Sheriff’s Office said the animals were living in deplorable conditions with dogs placed in cages that were stacked on top of each other and suffering from multiple health problems. One of the canines was euthanized due to skin lesions.

Finney is scheduled to appear in Bristol Sessions Court on Nov. 18.
