Data Center Study Outlines Opportunities To Use Southwest Virginia’s Sustainable Assests

Southwest Virginia is well positioned for future data centers because of its land availability , geothermal cooling opportunities unique to the area and its workforce readiness and development. Those are the results found from a recent study into the opportunities to attract and grow the date center industry in southwest Virginia. InvestSWVA released the findings Monday and highlighted the regions potential for using its sustainable resources like land and geothermal cooling, the regions strong workforce, and state and local incentives to attract the Data Center Industry. InvestSWVA is a public-private business attraction and marketing campaign launched under the umbrella of the Virginia Tobacco Region Revitalization Commission.
