Barbara McFaddin is carrying on a family tradition that began long before Oprah, Sally Jessie, or Dr. Laura. For more than 20 years, she has been a staple on SuperTalk WFHG talking about human interest topics including health, finance, education, and pets. And, before Barbara took the helm, her mother, Reba June Green, aired her similar show on WFHG for about 30 years. The Barbara McFaddin Show, which airs each Saturday morning, often features experts with advice on staying well, looking better, or planning for our golden years. Barbara loves animals and has become a special friend to lost pets and strays. Every show features segments on lost animals and shelter animals looking for a new home. Barbara is involved with most of the local and national agencies that help care for stray animals. Barbara’s listeners have learned to depend on her advice especially about the products and stores she recommends. Barbara visits each of the advertisers on her show personally then ‘ad-libs’ the commercials in a conversational fashion. Barbara was born in Bristol and has spent most of her life in the area. She and her husband, Jim, now live in Bristol with their two dogs and five cats. Barbara’s pastime pleasures are traveling and antiquing with her mother and sister.
