Man Arrested After Failing To Notify Police Of Move
Johnson City Police have arrested and charged a man with failing to notify police of his change of address. 39 year old Matthew Majors is a registered sex offender. He moved to Wilson Avenue in January. The law requires registered sex offenders to notify the police within 48 hours of any change of address. Majors is housed in the Washington County Detention center on a 10 thousand dollar bond.

TBI Top Ten Fugitive Captured In NC
A Man on the TBI 10 Most Wanted list has been captured in North Carolina. Michael Pope was wanted for kidnapping and a variety of domestic violence charges in Johnson County. The Glenwood, North Carolina man was arrested during a traffic stop. He has been returned to Johnson County to face charges.

Meth Lab Arrest
Two people have been arrested after Bristol, Virginia authorities discovered a meth lab. The apartment complex on Park Street was evacuated Monday night, and the street has been blocked off. Police are continuing their investigation. Authorities tell us that they've discovered some suspicious materials in the backyard.

Lee County Fugitive Apprehended In Georgia
A man wanted in Lee County, Virginia has been arrested in Georgia. 28 year old Lawrence Saghy was wanted for an alleged rape that happened in May. He was found Friday in Savannah, Georgia where U.S. Marshalls took him into custody. He's waiting extradition back to Virginia.

Four Arrested In Discovery Of Skeletal Remains
Four people have been arrested in connection with the discovery of skeletal remains found in Scott County, Virginia. 53 year old Valerie Arnold who lives near where the body believed to be that of Natasha Goss was found, faces murder charges. Three Gray residents are also charged with murder. Gary Gilbert, Tony and Jennifer Purcell are also charged with the gruesome stabbing death of Steven Rodgriquez in Johnson City two weeks ago. Virginia authorities are speculating that the Virginia murder may have been committed to cover up the one in Johnson City.

Woman Arrested For Stabbing Husband
A Johnson City woman has been jailed after allegedly stabbing her husband during an altercation. 57 year old Claudette Rhea is said to have stabbed her husban in the leg during the fight. She's being held in the Washington County Detention Center on a five thousand dollar bond. Rhea will be arraigned on Monday.

Greeneville Man Arrested In J.C.
Johnson City police have charged a Greeneville man with being an Habitual Motor Offender and 5th Offense DUI. Officers were dispatched to Food City on State of Franklin where they found 39 year old Joe Carter slumped behind the wheel of his running vehicle. He's being held on a 15 thousand dollar bond and will be arraigned on Thursday.

Involuntary Manslaughter
A Tazewell County, Virginia man has been charged in connection with a pedestrian traffic accident. 39 year old Rodney Shane Browning was arrested in Russell County and charged with Involuntary Manslaughter and hit and run. He's alleged to have fled the scene of an accident that killed 31 year old Jean Knighten. Browning is being held in the Southwest Virginia Regional Jail without bond.

Hampton Woman Arrested After Traffic Stop
A Hampton, Tennessee woman has been arrested by Johnson City Police after a traffic stop on Interstate 26. Misty D. Feathers was charged with Reckless Endangerment, DUI, Driving on a Suspended License, Simple Possession of Schedule II and Violation of Implied Consent. Feathers is said to have had a 13 year old juvenile in the vehicle with her. She's being held on a 13 thousand dollar bond and will be arraigned on Thursday.

Husband And Wife Charged With Forgery
A Jonesborough husband and wife have been arrested and charged with forgery. Terri D. May is alleged to have taken out a loan and forged the signature of her husband's former girlfriend as a co-signer. The investigation began when the alleged victim called police to World Finance Corporation to report the forgery. Tommy D. May and Terri May will be arraigned on June 24th.
