Man Gets Robbed By A Man He Invited To Go To Church
An Elizabethton man was robbed by a man that he had invited to go to Wednesday night prayer meeting. 20 year old Nathaniel McMurray told police that he had invited Christopher Johnson to go to church. When he arrived to pick Johnson up, Johnson met him, brandished a knife and took 400 dollars from McMurray, and fled into a wooded area. Johnson and his girlfriend were later found inside a Johnson City motel. He was arrested and charged with aggravated robbery, aggravated assault and theft under 500 dollars.

Aggravated Assault Arrest
Johnson City Police have charged a 19 year old city man with Aggravated Assault and Possession of Schedule II narcotics. Kwamaine Sarden of Lamont Street was arrested after an investigation into a domestic assault involving a firearm. At the time of his arrest, Sarden was in possession of 4 grams of crack cocaine. He's being held on a 15 thousand dollar bond.

Limestone Man Arrested In Unicoi
Unicoi County cops found 12 thousand dollars of prescription drugs after they stopped a Limestone man for speeding. Douglas Bussell was pulled over on Interstate 26 early Tuesday morning. He was found to be driving on a suspended license. A consent search of his van uncovered 377 Roxicodone pills and 187 Lortabs. Bussell will be arraigned on August 20th.

Guess Sentenced To 20 Years Probation
The man that tried to abduct a 90 year old patient from a Carter County nursing home has had his day in court. 23 year old Justin Adam Guess pretended to be a detective in order to sign 90 year old Carrie Campbell out of Sycamore Shoals Hospital. When he was arrested on June 23rd, 2007 cops found 31 oxycodone pills in his possession. Guess was sentenced to 20 years of probation, and must undergoe drug counseling.

Woman Stabs Son's Attacker At Bar
It just goes to prove that you don't mess with "mama's baby boy". An early morning altercation at Newman's Grill in Johnson City ended with a Johnson City woman stabbing a man that had attacked her son. The altercation apparently started while two men were playing pool. Mary Johnson saw that fight after coming out of the restroom. She's alleged to have used a small knife to stab her son's attacker in the back three times. Both she and her son were arrested and charged with aggravated assault.

Mushrooms, Other Illegal Drugs Found At House Where 2 Year Old Went Missing
Kingsport undercover officers uncovered a large supply of illegal drugs. They've arrested Everson Webb at his home on Beartown road in Kingsport. That's the same house where a 2 year old boy went missing. Police uncovered several pounds of mushrooms and a growing operation. Webb was charged with possession and manufacturing.

Construction Site Theft Arrests
Washington County, Virginia Sheriff's Office investigators have arrested two men they believe to be responsible for construction site thefts. Paul Michael Mitchell is charged with 19 counts, and Robert Preston Worley is facing 21 felony charges. Both men are being held in the Southwest Virginia Regional Jail without bond. over 77 thousand dollars worth of stolen property has been recovered.

High Speed Chase
Two people have been arrested after a high speed chase across state lines. Police chased Jeffery Allen Phelps and a female passenger from Airport Road in Bristol, Virginia to Shelby Lane near the Hardees on Volunteer Parkway. Phelps is wanted on a probation violation charge in Florida. The vehicle he was driving was reported as being stolen.

Walmart Arrest
A Kingsport man has been arrested after a manager at the Fort Henry Drive Walmart complained to police that the man was intoxicated. Police say that when they encountered Charles Kevin Hicks he was swaying and smelled of alcohol. During the encounter it was discovered that Hicks had a revolver concealed in his front pocket. He was charged with Possession of a Firearm while intoxicated.

Shots Fired Arrest
A Monday morning shots fired call at Cherry Hill Apartments in Johnson City ended with one person in custody. Police arrested Anthony Peak, a resident of the complex. He was charged with aggravated assault. It's believed that Peak threatened another tenant with a handgun.
