JC Man Arrested For Stealing Motorcycle
Johnson City police have charged a man with stealing a motorcycle. 28 year old James Scott White of Spring Street was arrested Monday afternoon. He's alleged to have taken the motorcycle from a Pine Street residence on August 4th. White is being held in the Washington County Detention Center on a 10 thousand dollar bond. (jb)

Man Arrested For Stealing Metal From Cell Sites
Sullivan County authorities arrested a Richmond man last week for allegedly stealing metal and copper from cell phone sites in the county. A sheriff's spokesperson says that five sites were vandalized between August 8th and August 16th. In each case between 500 and 2,000 dollars of metal was stolen. 27 year old John Thomas Grant was arrested after he tried to sell some of the metal at Wise Recycling in Bristol, Virginia. (jb)

Johnson Enters Plea To Lesser Charge
A Kingsport man who tried to run over two police officers has entered a guilty plea to a lesser charge. 34 year old Ronnie Dale Johnson was arrested after police tried to stop him from doing burnouts on the ramp from West Stone Drive onto Lynn Garden. This incident happened in May, 2010. He was given a reduced charge of Attempt to Commit Aggravated Assault, which is a Class D felony. Johnson was given supervised probation for five years. (jb)

Homeless Man Charged With Stealing Car
A homeless Johnson City man has been arrested and charged with stealing a car. The car was stolen in Johnson City on August 18th. It was located in Bumpas Cove late Sunday. 37 year old Andy Jones was found to be in possession of the car. He was arrested and transported to the Washington County Detention Center where he is being held on a 10 thousand dollar bond. (jb)

Woman Arrested For Stealing And Passing Checks
A woman that allegedly stole some checks and then passed them in Johnson City has been arrested. Investigators have charged 42 year old Barbara Ann Akers of Elizabethton with Forgery and Theft of Property. The investigation centered around a report that several checks were stolen and two of them allegedly passed by Akers. She is being held on a 4 thousand dollar bond. (jb)

Man Passes School Bus Unloading, Arrested
Model City police arrested a man after he allegedly passed a school bus unloading students. 44 year old David Good of Silver Drive is said to have passed the stopped bus near Andrew Johnson Elementary School. He was stopped and a records check revealed that his license was revoked. (jb)

Business Owner Alleged To Have Threatened Customers
A Hampton business owner has been arrested for allegedly pulling a gun on two men and threatening them. Jeremy Clark and Kenneth Bass pulled up to Floyd Franklin Padgett's business wanting to buy some gravel. Padgett met them outside with a shotgun, told them to leave and threatened to kill them. Padgett told deputies that he was tired of people mistaking his business for the one next door, and that he was tired of people parking on his sidewalk, breaking it. He was arrested and charged with aggravated assault. (jb)

Pharmacy Robbery Suspect Arrested
Kingsport police have made an arrest in the robbery of Marcum's Pharmacy. 27 year old Michael Manis was arrested at a relative's home at Model City apartments. He was charged with aggravated robbery for allegedly robbing Marcum's on East Ravine on August 13th. Manis was arraigned and has posted bond. A court date of October 18th has been set in General Sessions Court. (jb)

Embezzlement Arrest
A Blountville man has been charged with embezzlement by Johnson City police. 27 year old Nathan Hawkins was arrested after an investigation into merchandise being taken from Sam's Club. It's alleged that Mr. Hawkins failed to render full payment on a purchase that he made. He was taken to the Washington County Detention Center where he is lodged under a 5 thousand dollar bond. Arraignment is set for this morning. (jb)

Man Arrested Trying To Steal Copper
A homeless man has been charged with burglary by Johnson City police. 22 year old Eddie Albert Fink was arrested after witnesses reported that they saw him enter a fenced in lot at a vacant business on Wilson Avenue. Fink was located during a search of the business. He's alleged to have been looking for copper. Fink is being held on an 11 thousand dollar bond. (jb)
