Blountville Shooting Under Investigation
Sullivan County Detectives are still trying to find out exactly what happened on George Carr Road last night. Public Information Officer Leslie Earhart has confirmed that there was a shooting, but not many details other than that are available at this time. We do know a victim has been taken to the hospital with gunshot wounds, but is believed to recover. We are hearing reports that investigators searched a wooded area near the home and found a gun, but have not confirmed whether or not it was the weapon used in the crime. Conflicting witness accounts are making details sketchy. We will continue to monitor the situation and bring you more information as the investigation continues.
