Four Kingsport Men Charged With Felonies in May 2013 Shootout at Apartment Complex
Four men who were involved in a May 2013 shootout at a Kingsport apartment have all been indicted on state charges and arrested. 23-yr-old Demetrius “DayDay” Bradley, 25-yr-old Michael Willis, 27-yr-old Patrick “Rosebud” Beatty and 25-yr-old Keith “Piff” Henderson all face a variety of charges including attempted second-degree murder. Police said the men went to Allen Creek Apartments with the intent of stealing drug money and cocaine from Tiffani Conn and Damien Buxton. Both Buxton and Beaty received gunshot wounds when the argument turned physical.

Church Hill Man Who Fired Gun Seven Times During Argument with Parents Enters Plea Agreement
A Church Hill man whose fight with his parents last fall led to gunshots being fired inside the home has had charges reduced as part of a plea agreement. Court documents show 24-yr-old Brandon Fugate had charges reduced from felony aggravated assault to a misdemeanor. Police said Fugate got into a verbal then physical fight with his parents. The man then cocked and loaded his handgun which he fired seven times during the struggle with his father. Fugate must surrender the gun to authorities and serve 96 hours of community service.

Man Shot Dead in Kitchen of Johnson City Home
A man has been shot to death at a home in Johnson City, and another man is charged with second degree murder. Police say 24-year old LeDearrius Young suffered multiple gunshot wounds and died in the kitchen at 2464 Mint Hill Road. Police say there were several witnesses to a confrontation between Young and 22-year old Amando Stewart. Witnesses identified Stewart as holding a handgun after they heard shots fired. From Chattanooga, Stewart was arrested for second degree murder and jailed under $200,000 bond.

No Positive ID on Johnson City Murder Victim Yet
Right across the street from the Johnson City Country Club, a man was shot and killed at a convenience store. Police say they responded to the Roadrunner Market on East Unaka Avenue where they found a man dead in the parking lot as a result of a gunshot wound. An autopsy has been ordered. At this point, police say a positive identification of the victim has not been made. They're seeking tips on what happened, and have not released any description of a suspect or vehicle involved. No comment from the store corporate headquarters.

Two years ago a man was shot multiple times in Kingsport in an incident that locked down the emergency room of Holston Valley Hospital. It led to charges that Damien Maurice Buxton, a sex offender in Georgia who failed to register in Tennessee, was operating a "crack house" in Kingsport. Buxton survived the gunshots and now a federal judge has ordered him to serve five years in prison after his guilty plea to conspiring to distribute narcotics. Following the time, Buxton must serve four years on supervised release.
