A Lee County, Virginia man accused of killing his mother's home health care worker was arraigned in court on Monday. 40 year old Charles Givens is being held without bond in connection with the death of 22 year old Misty Leann Garrett. Givens allegedly told police that Garrett had refused to be his girlfriend and that he had planned to kill her for awhile. Police say that he shot Garrett from behind with a .22 caliber rifle. Givens' next court appearance will be March 24th.
