Carter County authorities are investigating an accidental shooting. It happened Wednesday afternoon at a home off of Highway 11E. A teenager was trying to load an old muzzleloader when it mis-fired. The teen was airlifted to the Johnson City Medical Center where he was pronounced dead upon arrival. An autopsy has been ordered.
