Couple Charged With Stealing Purrses During Church Services
A Kingsport couple have been arrested by Johnson City Police investigators on theft of property and fraudulent use of debit card charges. Evan and Rachael Deel were arrested after an investigation into someone entering several churches and stealing ladies purses during the services. The Deel's are alleged to have entered the churches and when members were distracted the couple would take the purses from under the pew and then exit the church. The husband and wife team are in jail under 65 thousand dollars bond each. (jb)
