SCAM Warning
Law enforcement agencies throughout the region are warning residents of a scam that's been circulating for over a year. It all began with calls to Smyth County residents from someone claiming to be from the Drug Enforcement Agency. A man called a Saltville woman, claiming to be an agent, telling her that a warrant for her arrest had been issued and if she didn't pay a 7 thousand dollar fine she would be arrested. (jb)
