Kingsport police say that a passenger was killed in a traffic accident just after six o'clock last night. The vehicle accident occurred on John B Dennis by-pass South of Moreland Dr. when a small pickup was attempting to pass another vehicle. While changing lanes the vehicle entered the median re-entered Highway 93 and rolled ejecting a passenger. He later died at Holston Valley Hospital. Rescuers had to extricate the vehicles operator. Name of the victim and the driver are expected to be released later today pending notification of next of kin.(CS)
