Red Onion Prison Locked Down Red Onion State Prison went on lockdown Tuesday afternoon after a correctional officer was stabbed by an inmate. The unnamed correctional officer was escorting an inmate when the inmate attacked him. The incident happened around 3:00 o'clock. The officer received multiple stab wounds to his back, neck and head. No other inmates were involved in the incident. Red Onion is a maximum security prison that houses about 800 inmates. (jb)
