BMS Announcement This Morning
Speedway Motorsports Chairman Bruton Smith will be in Bristol today to unveil his plans for changes at the speedway. The plan is to change the tracks surface in order to make racing more exciting. Officials are blaming a change to the speedways surface a few years ago on low fan attendance. Smith will be joined by racing legend Darrell Waltrip and Bristol Motor Speedway General Manager Jerry Caldwell at an 11:00 o'clock press conference. (jb)
