Elizabethton Electric Could Be Sold To Power Board
The Elizabethton Electric Department could soon become the property of the Johnson City Power Board. The Elizabethton City Council is exploring the possible sale of the utility. Talks are still in the early stages. The city council must approve any merger before the June and July sessions in order to get the sale proposal on the November ballot for Elizabethton voters to approve. (jb)
