Traffic Stop Catches Burglars In Johnson City
A string of auto burglaries in Johnson City ends with the arrest of two local men. A traffic stop by Johnson City Police found 18-year old Thomas Eugene Elliot of Renee Drive and 19-year old Christian Boettcher of Rock House Road in possession of stolen property. They say the victim called 911 after seeing someone in their car and officers connected the two. Both men were charged with six counts of auto burglary and six counts of theft under $500. They got a ride to the Washington County Detention Center where they are both being held on 66-thousand dollars bond each. (bg)
