Lightning Blamed On Fire That Killed Puppies
Lightning is being blamed for a house fire that killed at least a dozen dogs in Weber City. The fire broke out just before 9:30 Thursday morning at a Spring Valley Circle home. The owners were not at home when the fire broke out. The homeowners were registered dog breeders and at least 20 puppies were in the basement when the fire broke out. Firefighters were able to save at least 8 of the puppies. Weber City, Gate City and Hiltons fire departments responded to the blaze. (jb)
