JC Man Arrested For Choking Girlfriend
A Johnson City man has been arrested for choking his girlfriend. 45 year old Sterling Pate is alleged to have gone to his girlfriend's apartment where they got into an argument. He's alleged to have grabbed her by the throat and hair and tossed her on a bed. The woman was able to get away after she scratched Pate. Police charged him with aggravated assault and aggravated criminal trespassing. Mr. Pate is being held under a 51 thousand dollar bond. (jb)
