Woman Sentenced In Store Robbery
A Kingsport woman is headed to prison for her role in robbing the Ken-Jo Market in Church Hill last year. 41 year old Saundra Kay Hamilton pleaded guilty to facilitation of aggravated robbery in exchange for a three-year sentence. She and co-defendant Jason Blankenship robbed the market July 24th. Blankenship indicated to the clerk he had a weapon. A Church Hill police officer pulled into the market just as Blankenship was exiting. He ran to a nearby car where Hamilton was waiting. They were both arrested after police and sheriff's deputies stopped their car. (jb)
