Woman Goes For Gun During Traffic Stop
Church Hill police arrested a woman who reached for a loaded handgun during a traffic stop. 43 year old Vickie Stone was stopped by officers near Holliston Mills Road. It was realized that Stone's vehicle was suspected in a burglary at her ex-husband's residence the night before. Police detected the strong odor of alcohol on Stone. She attempted to crank her car and roll her window up. An officer reached inside to take the key out of the ignition, and that's when Stone is alleged to have reached for the gun. She has been charged with DUI, possession of a firearm by an intoxicated person and possession of drugs. (jb)
