Haslam Signs Synthetic Drugs Bill
Governor Bill Haslam has signed legislation that makes synthetic drugs a "controlled substance". The bill was sponsored by Kingsport Representative Tony Shipley. It was one of three in a package of bills outlawing synthetic drugs in the state. The other two pieces of the legislative package were sponsored by Bristol's Jon Lundberg and Representative Ryan Williams of Cookeville. (jb)
