A Carter County woman has been arrested by Johnson City Police for allegedly stealing over 200 thousand dollars from her employer. Penny Freeman of Elizabethton was employed by Baird Machine Company. She's accused of taking at least 201 thousand dollars in 2009 and 2010. She was arrested after a grand jury returned a true bill against her. Freeman is being held under a 25 thousand dollar bond.
