Homeless Man Arrested After Breaking Into Home
A homeless man has been arrested by Johnson City police for entering a residence without permission and assaulting the resident. 26 year old William Austin is said to have taken the woman's cell phone before fleeing the residence. The victim received a small cut to her hand during the assault. Police were nearby and observed Austin leave the residence. He was arrested after a brief foot pursuit. Austin has been charged with Aggravated Burglary, Aggravated Assault and Evading Arrest. He is being held under a 51 thousand dollar bond. (jb)
