A Bristol man acquitted of killing his father by reason of insanity has been committed to a mental hospital. 24 year old Eric Lambert shot 49 year old Johnny Lambert to death on April 17, 2008. He was released from the Sullivan County jail that day. A Russell County, Virginia judge ordered him involuntarily committed at his family's request. He was later transferred to a Tennessee mental hospital. Judge Jerry Beck ordered him committed in a hearing on Monday. (jb)
