TAX Rate Revision Defended
The announced budget plans for the coming fiscal year for Bristol Virginia have raised some eyebrows. It includes a five cent adjustment to the tax rate to bring in more cash to the city. Mayor Ed Harlow says Bristol Virginia really needs this financial move.according to Harlow Police Officers, Firemen and Teachers along with other city employees are being lured away for higher pay. Taxpayers in the past of complained about big increases that had been preceded by no tax increase rather than a slow gradual rate raising.(CS)
