A state auditor has found that the Sullivan County Sheriff's Department's budget shortfall is more than what they thought, but less than what the county's budget commitee said they were. Auditors determined that the sheriff's office budget is 87 thousand dollars short, and the jail's budget is 245 thousand dollars in deficit. Sheriff Wayne Anderson requested an extra 180 thousand dollars to help balance the budget until June 30th. (jb)
