A Damascus, Virginia man is in jail, charged with setting his house on fire. It's believed that 37 year old Christopher Allen Whited set the fire after a domestic altercation. Deputies found him inside of an outbuilding behind the burning home. Whited had apparently stabbed himself. He was airlifted to Bristol Regional Medical Center for treatment. Sullivan County deputies arrested him after his release. He was transferred to the Southwest Virginia Regional Jail in Abingdon. (jb)
