Media General signed agreements with Berkshire Hathaway for the purchase of newspapers including the Bristol Herald Courier. BH Media Group a subsidiary of Berkshire will purchase all newspapers owned by Media General with the exception of the Tampa group for 142-million dollars in cash. The newspapers being purchased include Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina and Alabama in addition to digital assets, websites, mobile and tablet applications as well as their commercial printing business.
