Johnny Royston has been convicted of rape and attempted murder. A Sullivan County jury returned the guilty verdict around 9:30 Thursday night. He drugged a woman's drink and took her to his rented camper where he bound her and raped her. Royston faces up to 25 years in prison when he is sentenced. The six man, six woman jury recommended 200 thousand dollars in fines. (jb)
