A Kingsport man drowned Saturday afternoon at a home on Booth Court. Sheriff's deputies were called there just after 4:00 o'clock. When deputies arrived EMS was already on the scene and were performing CPR on the 28 year old man. He was taken to Holston Valley Hospital where he died. Witnesses say that the man decided to swim to the bottom of the pool, and didn't resurface. Relatives and friends dove in and pulled him to the shallow end of the pool and performed CPR until EMS arrived. (jb)
