A Surgoinsville man convicted of attempted child rape has been indicted on two counts of violation of the sex offender registry. 34 year old Larry Kenneth Keith was arrested by police on the campus of Carters Valley Elementary School. He was a passenger in a car driven by his girlfriend who was picking up her children. He ran from police and surrendered after a short foot pursuit. Keith is being held without bond in the Hawkins County Jail. (jb)
