Johnson City Commissioners voted unanimously Thursday to allow chickens inside the city limits. However, the ordinance took a 180 degree turnaround from what some city residents wanted. Several groups wanted to be able to keep chickens in their backyards. The changed ordinance would only allow farm animals inside city limits in previously zoned agricultural areas. (jb)
