Controlled Buy Turns Into Car Chase
Two people are in custody after leading Kingsport Police and Scott County officers on a chase that crossed state lines. It began when Kingsport Vice Detectives did a controlled delivery of a 50 pound package of marijuana. When police went in for the arrest, the two men jumped into a car and headed toward the Virginia line at a high rate of speed. Brandon Huckabee jumped out of the car just before the state line. He was captured quickly. The other suspect was pulled over by Scott County officers near Colonial Downs. They've been charged with attempting to distribute 53 pounds of marijuana. (jb)
