Roan Mountain Fire Being Investigated As Arson
The Carter County Sheriff's Department is investigating a Wednesday morning house fire in Roan Mountain as arson. It happened just after 3:30 at a home on Hemlock Lane. It's believed to have been started on two different sides of the home. The Sheriff's Department thinks that this fire may be connected to a rash of arsons last year in Roan Mountain. The only difference is that last year's arsons were in vacant homes. This home was occupied. There are no reports of injuries. (jb)
