Gov. Bob McDonnell is extending his gratitude to University of Virginia President Teresa Sullivan for her short tenure. McDonnell issued his statement Sunday less than two hours after U.Va.'s Board of Visitors announced Sullivan's departure. Sullivan and the board cast the decision as mutual.
