A Kingsport man charged with the attempted first-degree murder of his first cousin will be re-tried in August. 43 year old Steven Ruth was scheduled to be in court this week. His defense team requested a continuance because they were having problems in locating a witness. Ruth was first tried in December, 2010 but the jury deadlocked and a mistrial was declared. (jb)
