General Tax Collections Are Up In TN
The state's tax general tax collections for May are up by 8.3 percent over last year as the economy mends. Authorities say the May increase comes from a surge in withholdings on individual income taxes and likely will mean a year-end surplus when the fiscal year ends in two weeks.
